The Raptor reached his hand out to see what it was he heard his mum’s voice it went quieter and quieter his mum was in a dark place he run as as fast as a cheat  he run and run he never stopped  he found his mum he was as happy as a bee and he  never lost his mum again.

The Best Teacher Ever

 The Best Teacher Ever

This year it was a pleasure to be with my best teacher ever Whaea Gina because she is so nice to me and my brother and my older sister. She helps me with panui, maths and blogging. She explains things that makes me understand it more  like personification metaphor, verbs, adverbs, nouns, concrete nouns, abstract nouns, and  similes. Whenever I'm stuck she always helps me and always marks my blogging green. Have you ever written a blog post about your favourite teacher?

Check Out This Excellent Cross-Country

Last term we did  cross-country with the school.

It went the 5 year olds to 13 year olds, it doesn’t matter what year your in its just the age. The race was at Bledisloe domain, the boys always went first and then the girls. My race was about 850 metres. You could buy a sausage sizzle,  juicy, cakes and more food. My cousins, my mum and my sister came. My little sister came first in her year race. I had to race with some year five boys and more, I was in a race with my friends and my twin brother. I came first, my brother came second,  my friend  came third. We had to run around the field up a hill and back down. The hard bit was to run up the hill and the easy bit was to run down. Have you done cross-country before? Thank you for reading my post!

We had to hit three balls and then we had to swap.  It was hard to  hit the ball . After that we had to play Non-Stop Cricket. I caught the ball twice.  Have you played cricket with your class before? Thanks for reading my story.

The Best Holiday

Last saturday In the weekend we went to Flip Out.
I was with my brother sister and my mum and dad.  We went to Flip  Out first then to the water park. We had to put on some Flip Out socks or else we couldn’t play on the tramps. There was also a basketball court that you had to bounce to get the goal into the hoop and there was a dodgeball Court which had a pit of foam cubes. I found it hard to hit the people in dodgeball. We were there for around an hour. Have you been to flip out before before?

Unbelievable Art

In Te Ngahere we  have been doing art.

We are learning to draw continuous lines, draw curves, rule straight lines, select colours for effect, and blend colours. The hard bit was to draw around and around the design because the lines would go off track. The easy bit was to do the patterns because you could use a ruler to do straight lines. The teacher gave us a paper to practice to do straight lines. After that you had to blend the colours together. At first I thought it was going to be hard but then it got easy to draw. Have you done a spiral with your teacher before?

Worst Movie Ever

In Te Ngahere we  have been making movies. We were allowed to be in a group of 5 people or less. I was with Archie, Thea, Pharell, Tiana and Tahuri. Before we recorded our movie we wrote a script. When our script was checked by the teacher and turned green we had to record it. We used Te Awas ipad. We filmed all around the school. After we filmed our movie we edited it. Ithink on my next movie  I should make the story line a bit better. Have you made a movie before with your teacher?

Wonderful Modifications We Made To Our Rocket

In Te Ngahere we have been learning to modify our rockets. Our rocket went 62.1m. Something we changed on our rocket was by putting an extra fin on our rocket and adding a parachute. We got a sheet and we drew a circle on the sheet and cut it out. After that we put dots around the circle to put the string through the holes. After that we drew things on the parachute, we drew our names on the parachute. After that we put the parachute in the top of the lid and we sellotaped the strings on the middle of the rocket to make the parachute come out. The hard bit was to make the holes and put the string in, the easy thing was to draw on the parachute. Have you made a bottle rocket before with your classroom? Thank you for watching and reading my blog post!

Mind Blowing Dodgeball

 Mind Blowing Dodgeball

In Te Ngahere we have been doing dodgeball.
My teacher takes us out onto the courts to play dodgeball.
The teacher puts us in to groups. We set up the balls on the middle of the court  then we get behind the basketball hoop and she counts down from 3
and we run to get the balls to throw at the other team. If they catch it you’re out and if it bounces one time and hits you your still out but if it bouncers 2 times and hits you your still in. The hard bit is to catch the ball and the easy bit is to shoot the other team.  Have you played game with your teacher before?

Terrific Cross-Country

In Te Ngahere we have been practicing for cross-country.

We do 1 minute of fitness and then we do 15 minutes of

running around the field and around the wooden playground and do it over again. You  get lines on your hand to see how many laps you have done my high score is 20. The teachers take out half of the class and then the next half

of the class. Some people walk and then they get lapped like 5 or more times. It is hard when my legs aren’t stretched it is easy when you are in the front . Have you trained for cross country before? Thank you for reading my blog post.

Mosaic Art

Mosaic Art
In Te Ngahere we have been doing Mosaic Art with the class.
We have to get our  favourite animal and put it  on a google drawing. We used the  polyline tool to do the shapes. A mosaic is a  piece of art that is made of many  pieces, they can be all shapes and sizes, but they cannot touch. My five  friends made  a dog, a tiger and two kangaroos, I did a cheetah
that had black spots on it. My next step is to make my shapes a bit better. The  easy bit was to put on the colors.  The hard bit was to choose the animal. Have you done a mosaic art before?
