100 Word Story

The Raptor's eye looked everywhere to find his mum. He looked everywhere, his tears slowly  falling from his eye one by one. He started to disappear in a dark cave. He saw a light and walked closer to it. The Raptor reached his hand out to see what it was he heard his mum’s voice it went quieter and quieter his mum was in a dark place he run as as fast as a cheat  he run and run he never stopped  he found his mum he was as happy as a bee and he  never lost his mum again.

The Best Teacher Ever

 The Best Teacher Ever

This year it was a pleasure to be with my best teacher ever Whaea Gina because she is so nice to me and my brother and my older sister. She helps me with panui, maths and blogging. She explains things that makes me understand it more  like personification metaphor, verbs, adverbs, nouns, concrete nouns, abstract nouns, and  similes. Whenever I'm stuck she always helps me and always marks my blogging green. Have you ever written a blog post about your favourite teacher?

Unbelievable Te Reo

Last week we learnt Te Reo in class.

We had to write a weather report in Maori, describing  six places of  New Zealand. My group chose Paihia,Christchurch, Kerikeri,Auckland, Whangarei and Russell. We had to have  a map with an arrow pointing to the places. We had to write a script and then we had to do a DLO and we had to practice saying the maori places. We had to screencastify with us  saying the script to match our DLO. Have you ever done Te Reo with your classroom before?

Check Out This Excellent Cross-Country

Last term we did  cross-country with the school.

It went the 5 year olds to 13 year olds, it doesn’t matter what year your in its just the age. The race was at Bledisloe domain, the boys always went first and then the girls. My race was about 850 metres. You could buy a sausage sizzle,  juicy, cakes and more food. My cousins, my mum and my sister came. My little sister came first in her year race. I had to race with some year five boys and more, I was in a race with my friends and my twin brother. I came first, my brother came second,  my friend  came third. We had to run around the field up a hill and back down. The hard bit was to run up the hill and the easy bit was to run down. Have you done cross-country before? Thank you for reading my post!

Amazing Cricket

Today we did cricket to improve our skills in batting and  fielding. Half of the class went first and the other half of the class went second. We had to get  into  pairs, one person batting and the other person was fielding we had to put a tennis ball on a cone to hit it off . We had to hit three balls and then we had to swap.  It was hard to  hit the ball . After that we had to play Non-Stop Cricket. I caught the ball twice.  Have you played cricket with your class before? Thanks for reading my story.

The Best Holiday

Last saturday In the weekend we went to Flip Out.
I was with my brother sister and my mum and dad.  We went to Flip  Out first then to the water park. We had to put on some Flip Out socks or else we couldn’t play on the tramps. There was also a basketball court that you had to bounce to get the goal into the hoop and there was a dodgeball Court which had a pit of foam cubes. I found it hard to hit the people in dodgeball. We were there for around an hour. Have you been to flip out before before?

Unbelievable Art

In Te Ngahere we  have been doing art.

We are learning to draw continuous lines, draw curves, rule straight lines, select colours for effect, and blend colours. The hard bit was to draw around and around the design because the lines would go off track. The easy bit was to do the patterns because you could use a ruler to do straight lines. The teacher gave us a paper to practice to do straight lines. After that you had to blend the colours together. At first I thought it was going to be hard but then it got easy to draw. Have you done a spiral with your teacher before?
