Action World

Hi my name is Ondreous and I go to Paihia School and I’m a Year 5. On December the  3rd 2019 we went to Action World. We went at 9 in the morning and we went down the school road straight for 100 metres then turn left and go straight to the dairy then go to the countdown and go straight and then you are at Action World. The first thing I went on was the climbing ladder then I play on the Tarzan bars. Then i went on the tightrope. And after that I played on the trampoline. The girls went on the water side for 30 minutes then the boys went on the side. After Action World It was Kayne’s birthday and my sister's friend's birthday. Then we sang happy

birthday to Kayne and he turned nine.

Refuse, Reduce, Recycle, Reuse

Hi my name is Ondreous and I go to Paihia School and I'm a Year five. I made a google slide about refuse, reuse, recycle and  reduce. Reduce means if you use heaps of plastic bags or plastic bottles you have to reduce the amount you use of that thing you are using a lot. Reuse means use an empty product that you can use again. Refuse memes refers to any disposable materials and recycle is the process of reusing. And I made a logo.  I hope you enjoy it.

Electricity

On Thursday we did makerspace about electricity. We were in groups of six and  seven, we did a rotation. There were five activities. There was one that you needed to make the light work using 10c and 5-4 lemons. We made a circuit using copper coins, lemons and  alligator clip. The coolest experiment was the static electricity. There was another one to make your hair go up with a balloon, mat and a can. You had to blow up the balloon and rub it on the mat then put it on your head and your hair will go up. There was a hard one that you needed to make the fan go and make the light go.

Maker a Space

Last Friday we had to do a healthy meal for our makerspace. We all head to get vegetables out of Mrs Pou garden. My group made a boritta we used three vegetables out of the garden. Mrs Pou said if you use all four fruits out of the  garden you get a chocolate so three groups made salad.We used carrots, salary and parsley.

Geometry DLO

Hi my name is Ondreous and I go to Paihia School and I am a Year 5. A couple days ago we did a geometry DLO on a Google drawing. I learnt how to draw different shapes and sizes. I hope you enjoy.

NZ Weather

Hi my name is Ondreous and I go to Paihia School and I am a  Year 5 and this is my google slide about weather around the world. India: In India in the summer time it rains everyday but New Zealand's summer doesn’t. The Amazon doesn’t have Winter but New Zealand does.

Time DLO

Last week me and the class made a time DLO about what we learnt. I learnt that there are 24 months (730 days) in 2 years. I learnt that there is 3652.425 days in 10 years and 52 weeks in a year.  I hope you like it.

Cross-country

On Friday Paihia School kids went down to Bledisloe by Haruru Falls.

The boys went first and the girls went second. At the start of the race I was nervous.
We were practising around the field at  school. When I was running I wasn't nervous in the race.
When I finished the race I was proud of myself. In the race I came first place and my brother

came in third place.

Christchurch

My brother and I went to Christchurch for two weeks. I really enjoyed going to the snow and going to the spa. We went to a massive cool park and stayed at our uncles house. It was so fun.
